Cartoon Network has announced that a sequel series of the show with the pending title of Ben 10: Hero Generation that will premiere before spring 2008. The new series will focus 5 years after the finding of the Omnitrix on a 15 years-old Ben and Gwen, who serve as mentors to a younger generation of heroes with powers similar to Ben's Omnitrix-based ones. The Omnitrix has changed over the 5 years to suit the 15 year old Ben who's in high school now and there's an alien invasion on Earth. He's now more mature and Gwen has longer hair along with having better skills at magic than since we last saw them. Also, it has been reported that 5 new aliens are to be revealed in their first season. Kevin Levin is now helping the group and he has better controled powers than before. Though aimed at the same demographic, the series will reportedly address more mature issues than its predecessor.

During March 9, 2008, after the premire of the Ben 10 vs. Negative 10 episodes, there was a sneak peek at Alien Force. Revealing that Ben has taken off the Omnitrix, Grandpa Max is missing, Max took the Omnitrix, and there will be new Omnitrix aliens and villains.

This series will feature new Omnitrix aliens, its unknown if he will use any of the aliens he obtained in the original series or in the movies.
