Camille Mann is from an alien race known as the Sludgepuppies. Sludgepuppies are shapeshifting aliens who have a nasty history with the Plumbers. She falls in love with a plumber's son and the two of them decide to get married, a move which could bring peace between the Sludges and the Plumbers. Though shown in a flashback to possess a monstrous-looking Sludgepuppy form like her parents, Camille tends to prefer either her human form or the hybrid human-like sludge form she adopts after encountering Joel.
