Captain Shaw has been searching for the Krakken for many years with this boat. It has been outfitted with sonar, radar, and high-definition video set-up to aid in his search for the Krakken. Jonah Melville blew up this ship in the episode "The Krakken" because he was snooping around while Jonah was looking for the Krakken's Eggs. Shaw rented out the boat so that tourists and other people could go fishing out on the lake, Max was one these people.
