Cooper is initially introduced as the grandson of one of Max's friends in The Plumbers, who the Tennysons are giving a ride home to. However, Cooper is unwittingly drawn into the fray when the Negative 10 attacks. It's later revealed that Cooper is a technopath, able to communicate with various machinery, a power that later becomes crucial in defending the Mt. Rushmore base from the Negative 10.
