In the episode "A Change of Face" Gwen take's Charmcaster's spellbook as a souvenir after she is defeated by the Tennysons and arrested by the police. After leaving the book more or less untouched for a while, Gwen eventually begins reading it. In the episode "Divided We Stand" she finally starts using some of the spells from the book herself, proving herself to be a match for Ben with his Omnitrix and Grampa Max with his old Plumber suit. From then on the spellbook makes several more appearances in the series up until the end of the original series. In Alien Force the spellbook only makes one appearance, sitting in a drawer beneath Gwen's bed in the episode "What Are Little Girls Made Of?" It is mentioned again in the episode "In Charm's Way".
