Sheriff Mason is the African-American sheriff of the police that pursue Alan Albright for his suspected arson. Even when they managed to catch him, he escapes. When it was discovered that the DNAliens are the ones constructing a weather controlling device in the local cornfields, Mason's men ended up frozen by the DNAlien's freezing device. Sheriff Mason managed to hold his ground before being frozen himself. After the DNAliens were defeated by Alan and Swampfire, Sheriff Mason accepted Alan's help in hunting down any remaning DNAliens.
