Three kids enter a pen. Two of the kids tell the younger boy that they’ll make a deal with him if he is able to push one of the cows down. The boy and his pig walk up to the cow to prove them wrong, and he attempt to push the cow down. Instead, they slip into the mud. The two bullies laugh at his attempt. This angers the cow, and the pig and the bullies run off. The boy faces the cow, and shows a great appearance of bravery. The cow runs off, but little did Todd know that there was something else behind him that scared it off.
In the open, inside the RV, Gwen and Ben sit down enjoying themselves. Grandpa Max comes up behind Ben, and seems to be angered about something, especially when there is shampoo all over his head. Grandpa Max tells Ben that it is his job to keep the water tank full. Ben tells him that he will eventually, and Gwen notes his other chores to be done like making his bed, or taking out the trash. Grandpa Max tells Gwen that she’s the one to talk, and points out that the dishes haven’t been done yet. She points out that it is summer vacation, and Ben makes a point that he’d rather stay home to do the chores. A radio announcement comes up, and gives details about a dairy farm nearby them. Grandpa Max seems to have an idea, and the kids know already that he is up to something that they would not enjoy.
Grandpa Max points that he used to work in a farm when he was a kid, and he tells them that it would be a great idea if they were to experience it a little. A woman, Joan Maplewood, introduces herself to the Tennysons. Todd, the boy earlier, is Joan’s son. Todd says hi to Ben and Gwen, but they were none too happy to be at the farm. Immediately, Joan tells them that they were there to work, and they start the Tennysons off by telling them to unload the truckload of fertilizer. Ben has the idea to turn alien to speed the process, but Grandpa Max points out that Ben, and only Ben, should be the one to unload.
The Tennysons finally finish the job later that afternoon, and the kids lie down on the sacks, gasping for breath. Joan announces that it is suppertime. Inside the house, Grandpa Max compliments Joan for the food. Gwen is happy that the food is “normal” for a change. Ben complains about the atmosphere of the farm and asks Todd how he gets excitement. Todd was ready to tell Ben about what he saw the night before, but Joan tells him that they probably don’t want to be interested in his silly tales. Joan tells them that the dishes are needed to be washed, and then they should immediately head to bed. Ben points that it is still bright out, but Max says that they would need it for the next day.
Outside, the Tennysons take a small walk in the corn pasture with Todd. Ben asks him what he saw. Todd says that they probably wouldn’t believe him, but Gwen tells him that they’ve encountered strange things during the summer. Todd tells them that it was a giant “Egyptian” mummy, and it seems to have interested the kids.
At the house, Todd directs the Tennysons to where they are to sleep for the week. He also tells them that it is the chicken coop, explaining the smell to them. Grandpa Max seems to enjoy the air. Ben lies down on the bed, disturbing one of the chickens under his pillow.
Later that evening, Ben sneaks out. He runs toward the corn stalks, but is stopped by Gwen, who also seems to be interested in helping him out to hunt down the mummy. In the pasture, they find a large hole, and Ben assumes that it is the tomb. Gwen tells him that it seems impossible for an Egyptian tomb to be located in South Carolina. They also notice strange footprints on the floor. In the open, strange animals attack them. XLR8 comes to the rescue, and he plays around with the mutated cows. He suggests that they would follow the strange glowing trail. He leaves Gwen behind. While XLR8 observes the strange mummy digging in the ground, it brings a strange glance at him, and XLR8 knows that he’s in trouble.
The strange creature attacks XLR8, and he tries to stab it with hand shovels. The mummy did not seem to be defeated easily, and it was able to modify its body to avoid it. The mummy uses its bandages to constrict XLR8 and throw him off to one of the silos. Even with the speed advantage, XLR8 finds that he is no match for the strange alien creature. XLR8 turns to Ben, and the mummy notices him. It uses its bandages to bring down the silo on him, but luckily Gwen comes in on time just to save him. Ben tells her that the mummy was digging for something glowing in the crater, but it seems that it took whatever it was with it.
Ben and Gwen head back to the home, and they try to get some rest. Joan comes out and wakes them up. They complain that it is only 5 in the morning. Max tells them that they should be glad for going to bed early, but they regret it for not going to sleep all night just to hunt the strange mummy down.
In the barn, Todd teaches Ben and Gwen how to properly milk a cow. Ben tells him that there are machines that are able to milk it for them. Todd says that his mom doesn’t believe in them. They ask him if there is anything else they can do other than milking. They can shovel the manure instead, but right away, they decide to milk the cows instead. Ben decides to change to an alien to help out with the tasks. As Four Arms, he was able to milk multiple cows at once, while Gwen sits lazily on the hay stacks. It seems that Four Arms is having a little difficulty holding onto the cows. Joan comes in to check, and luckily, she wasn’t able to notice that Four Arms was there.
They meet up with Todd at the pig pens, and their next job is to feed the pigs. It was a large scale, but Ben decides to use Wildvine to extend his arms to speed up the feeding process. After that, they were to collect eggs from the chicken coop, and as XLR8, he was able to collect each one without difficulty. As Wildmutt, he was able to make the ground ready for planting. As Diamond Head, he was able to make depressions on the ground to place the new boards for the fence.
In the evening, they finally finish with a walk outside with Todd, and Ben asks him how he manages it in a place where it is so boring. The only time it was exciting was the recent encounter with the mummy and the purple lightning. The purple lightning statement catches Ben and Gwen’s attention.
As they tell Grandpa Max while he shovels the manure, he seems suspicious of the situation. He goes to the RV to collect some supplies to take on anything that might be strange. They go to the pasture where the mutant cows are, and Grandpa Max suspects that they were mutated with “ corrodium ,” a high energy mineral that can affect the DNA of the living organism. He suspects that the mummy alien is using it to mutate everyone with it, and they need to find the next hot spot where the mineral can be found.
They find an area at the Digby Dairy factory, and they come in successfully without being seen by the security. Inside, the readings become off the scale, and Grandpa Max tells them that it is there some where. Ben transforms to Diamond Head to dig for it. Unfortunately, Gwen tells him that he just did the work for the mummy instead.
Diamond Head comes after it and stabs it in the chest, although it is unaffected. He is no match for the mummy, and it grabs on his arm and throws him off. It grabs the piece of corrodium and puts it in its chest along with the other pieces it has. Diamond Head was able to push it back to stop it for a period of time, but it attacks back by trying to expose them to the corrodium . The security guard comes to check things out, but unfortunately, he is mutated by the corrodium itself.
Grandpa Max suits Gwen and himself up to protects them from the possible radiation, while he tells Ben that he is safe from harm while he is an alien. Gwen attempts to cast a spell, but the suit is in the way, causing the air to inflate her in the Hazmat suit. Grandpa Max and Gwen go after the mutated guard. Grandpa Max knocks him into the packaging line and Gwen activates it to constrict the mutant.
Diamond Head goes head to head with the mummy, but unfortunately, it deactivates. With no suit, he has to avoid being mutated. Fortunately Max was around the corner to put one on him. It comes after Ben, and Gwen tells him to slop the hogs. He throws a barrel of cream to make it slip. Ben then shoots a stream of marshmallow to bring him to the shredder. Gwen activates the peanuts to bring him down to the fans, and they shout with victory. Unfortunately, even the mummy survived after it was shredded up.
It grabs Ben and tears his suit. It touches the Omnitrix, zapping some of its DNA. Grandpa Max tells him to turn alien now to fight it. He tries to change to the mummy alien, but instead to Upgrade. Next to him was a machine that releases liquid nitrogen. He decides to merge with it, and he shoots a stream of nitrogen at it. Upgrade successfully stops the mummy before it got to him.
Max finishes up burying the mummy alien, and Upgrade removes himself from the machine. He transforms back to Ben, and Gwen screams that he has been mutated by the corrodium . She seemed to be joking around, and he mocked her usual jokes on him. Meanwhile, Ben asks about the mutated organisms, but Max tells them that they don’t need to worry, as the effect of the corrodium would wear off in time. They walk out of the factory, and Max tells them that they have to head back to Joan’s farm for more work. The kids beg that they don’t want to go back, and told him that they learned their lessons. Grandpa Max sighs and tells them the truth that even he did not like working on his Uncle Jedidiah’s farm in his childhood years. He tells them that they should hit the road, before he is assigned with the manure duties again.
