Beyondforever! he had only removed the limiter, not activated the Master Control so how can he have access to all 10,000 forms? 0  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

I think he would have had to activate the mastercontrol to gain access to the limiter? I could be wrong?
I know I'm going "real world " here but any device I know of, you have to access the parameters( master contol) to be able to turn things off or on.

That would be my guess. A lot of how the Omnitrix works is a mystery, but a lot of its features do seem to be accessible without the Master Control if you are either smart enough or lucky enough to stumble across a means of accessing them. The Master Control just seems to make accessing all the features of the Omnitrix simple and convenient. With it, all the powers of the Omnitrix are at your full disposal. Without it, good luck figuring out how to access stuff. Do you find this valuable?

I think that the writers want the omntrix to mainly be a mystery, because then it is much easier to make up interesting episodes

I think we are having this same disscusion in a similar thread?
WE do need to talk more about this. I was under the impression you had to unlock the master controll to access the limiters or any funtion of the Omnitrix.
I know in Ben 10 ,Ben was always fiddling with it and messing it up.

Yeah, we do seem to be having this same conversation across a couple of different threads. At least it's a Ben 10-related conversation though!

If one needed to unlock the Master Control to access any function of the Omnitrix then Ben would never have been able to turn into any of his alien heroes because that is a function of the Omnitrix. Sorry if that's kind of swatting a fly with a sledge hammer there but it goes toward my point. As far as we know there isn't a single function of the Omnitrix that you absolutely NEED the Master Control to access. The Master Control, from what we can tell, just makes using all the functions of the Omnitrix simple and convenient. Without it, you kind of need to be a super-genius, or really lucky, to figure out how to do anything beyond the basic select-an-alien-and-turn-into-it thing.

If you are talking about the new AF aliens, The omnitrix recalibrated itself when Ben put in on again, In the first episode.
But they did not say how it did that!!!!

You need to unlock the master conrol to access new aliens , no??

How many different Limiters do you think there are? or do you think The limiter controls all the limits?
I think there are 3
1) timer ( limits the time Ben can stay as any one alien)
2) transforming timer ( controls how fast Ben can switch lifeforms)
3) accessable aliens ( how many aliens Ben can transform into)
NOTE; transforming timer is my word, I don't belive they ever gave that function a name?
Anybody got any thoughts?

"Anybody????"
The first time i started to read this, all the tech talk lost me. My eyes glazed over and i went looking for chocolate. Isn't it like trying to figure out how the warp drive on the enterprise works? Impossible. :D

But now i have read the whole thread. I know in the finale, Azmuth did something to the Omnitrix to let Ben access all the aliens stored in it and he only stayed with old favorites. I guess it was not the time to try to invent a new alien.

I remember when Ben broke the omnitrix and a piece fell off and Dr Animo found it and used the DNA in it right? Was that a limiter that fell off? I am thinking it would be since Ben could still change but the limits were off and aliens DNA got mixed up. But that one piece also gave Dr Animo DNA to play with right? I would think a limiter would be a control, but not have DNA stored in it. Or was the piece that fell off called a focusing lens?

Would there have been another limiter that's function would be to keep the aliens from combining like they did in that episode?

i tried upgrade1 . . . now my head hurts with tech stuff.
*CQ skips away distracted by something shiny.*
Perhaps it is Ben's lost focuser lens :D

Um... I like cheese? XD

Seriously though, the Limiter, as mentioned by Ken in the episode "Ken 10", determined how long he could stay transformed, and evidently also prevented him from switching aliens while transformed. It may also have added in the whole "recharge time" thing, though I don't recall that being an issue in that episode.

Outside of that episode I don't recall this Limiter ever being mentioned. Can anyone site any other episodes where anything is said about that?

IDK, In "Good copy, badcopy" Ben switched beween aliens, but it didn't say how.And it did not give Ben any new aliens.
O.K., so #2) transforming timer ( controls how fast Ben can switch lifeforms) is the recharge timer.?
These are good, Good job to you both (* piece of chocolate covered cheese to both* )
